According to the selection criteria for the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), the Journal of Systems & Management has been officially included as a CSSCI (2025-2026) Source Journal.
Journal Profile
Established in 1992 (originally titled Systems Engineering—Theory, Methodology & Applications and renamed in 2006), the Journal of Systems & Management is a comprehensive academic journal approved by the State Science and Technology Commission and the State Education Commission. It is supervised by the Ministry of Education of China, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and serves as the official journal of the Management Science and Engineering Society of China.
The Journal is recognized as a Grade A Important Journal by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a High-quality Journal in the FMS Management Science list, and is indexed in major databases including CSSCI, CSCD (Core), and the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation (Core). The Journal is led by Honorary Editor-in-Chief Professor Wang Huanchen, a renowned scholar in management and systems science, with Professor Chen Hongmin (Antai College of Economics and Management, SJTU) serving as Editor-in-Chief and Professor Zeng Saixing as Associate Editor-in-Chief.
