  • Call for Papers: 2025 Joint Academic Workshop on "AI Empowerment and Management Innovation"

    Background and Objectives Responding to the call to build a Chinese independent knowledge system and providing high-quality services for the Chinese management academic community are shared responsibilities of academic journals and institutions. To this end, the School of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University, in collaboration with leading journals—Journal of Management Sciences in China, Journal of Management Science, Systems Engineering — Theory & Practice, Journal of Systems & Management, and Chinese Journal of Management Science—will jointly host this workshop in 2025.

    The workshop aims to address the frontiers of management science and national strategic needs, promote interdisciplinary innovation, and enhance the research and writing quality of young scholars. This intensive, deep-discussion workshop will feature keynote speeches and parallel sessions with invited Editors-in-Chief and senior board members from top-tier domestic journals. Experts will provide in-depth professional commentary to help scholars broaden their academic horizons and refine their research outcomes.

    V. Scope

    We welcome submissions on (but not limited to) the following areas:

    1. AI and Machine Learning-driven management theories, methods, and paradigms.

    2. Analysis, modeling, and simulation optimization of complex management systems.

    3. Digital intelligence in operations management and smart supply chain innovation.

    4. Intelligent transportation systems, logistics optimization, and decision support.

    5. FinTech, risk management, and decision science driven by digital intelligence.

    6. Human-AI collaboration: behavioral mechanisms, organizational change, and HRM.

    7. Service platform management, algorithmic governance, and business model innovation.

    8. Management of smart resources, environmental systems, and sustainable development.

    9. AI in social governance and public management.

    VI. Submission Requirements

    1. Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.

    2. Extended Abstract: Provide a summary (500–800 words) covering background, methodology, results, and contributions for rapid screening.

    3. Fast-Track Review: Selected papers will be categorized as Category A (Parallel Sessions) or Category B (Poster Sessions). Category A papers (ranked in the top 15%) may enter the Fast-Track Review Process of the co-organizing journals after revision based on expert feedback.

    4. Format: Submit in Word format (Chinese only for this session). Follow the formatting guidelines of the co-organizing journals.

    VII. Registration and Fees

    • Faculty: 1,000 RMB/person

    • Students: 700 RMB/person

    • Accommodation: Uniformly arranged at the Jinniu Hotel (Contracted rates: 430–500 RMB/night). Transportation and accommodation expenses are at the participants' own expense.
