Initiated by the Branch of Service Science and Operations Management under the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics (referred to as China "Dual Methods" Society), the Academic Forum on Service Science and Operations Management has been successfully held for six sessions to date. The 2026 Academic Forum on Service Science and Operations Management, jointly with the 7th Annual Conference of the Branch of Service Science and Operations Management, China "Dual Methods" Society, will take place in Changsha during September 11–13, 2026.
Centered on the theme of AI-Enabled Innovation in Service Operations and Management, this conference focuses on the systematic empowerment of artificial intelligence for service science and operations management. It showcases cutting-edge research and industrial practices in China’s service management domain, thoroughly discusses the far-reaching impacts of AI-driven technological transformation, model renovation and paradigm shift on service operation systems, explores innovative pathways for service operations under human-machine collaboration, and forecasts the developmental directions and transformative trends of service management discipline amid in-depth human-machine integration. The conference will build a high-end academic exchange and cooperation platform for scholars and industry practitioners specializing in service science and operations management to share research outcomes, exchange insights and translate theories into practical applications.
The conference will invite relevant leaders from the Department of Management Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as distinguished scholars with landmark achievements in service science and operations management to deliver plenary keynote speeches. Multiple parallel thematic sessions and academic forums will also be arranged to facilitate in-depth, extensive exchanges, discussions and mutual learning among participants.
