Conference Introduction
The Symposium on Logistics Systems Engineering and Management Systems Engineering is one of China’s leading academic events in the fields of logistics systems engineering and management systems engineering. It has been successfully held for 21 editions. The first twelve symposia were hosted, respectively, by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Southeast University, Northeastern University, Southeast University, Harbin University of Commerce, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Changzhou University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Northeastern University/Dalian University of Technology Panjin Campus, Ningbo University, and China Three Gorges University.
The 13th Symposium on Logistics Systems Engineering and the 1st Symposium on Management Systems Engineering was hosted by Hunan University of Commerce; the 14th/2nd by Dalian Maritime University; the 15th/3rd by Anhui University of Technology; the 16th/4th by Chongqing Jiaotong University; and the 17th/5th by Harbin University of Commerce, which was held online via Tencent Meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 18th/6th Symposium was jointly organized with five parallel venues hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, Southeast University, and Beijing Institute of Technology, with online participation via Tencent Meeting. The 19th/7th Symposium was hosted by the College of Economic and Social Development and the Research Center of Modern Logistics at Nankai University; the 20th/8th by the School of Management, Northwestern Polytechnical University; and the 21st/9th by the School of Management, Zhejiang University. Held annually, the symposium provides a valuable platform for scholars in logistics systems engineering and management systems engineering to exchange academic ideas and strengthen professional connections.
The 22nd Symposium on Logistics Systems Engineering and the 10th Symposium on Management Systems Engineering will be hosted by the Business School of Henan University and held in Kaifeng, Henan Province, from September 18 to 20, 2026.
Located in central China along the Yellow River, Kaifeng is a renowned national historical and cultural city known as the “Ancient Capital of Eight Dynasties.” Combining rich historical heritage with modern vitality, the city offers convenient transportation and well-developed facilities for high-level academic events. Henan University, located in Kaifeng, is a national “Double First-Class” university jointly supported by the People’s Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education. With a long history and strong academic traditions, the University has established a solid foundation in research and talent development. As the organizer of this symposium, the Business School of Henan University has long been committed to teaching, research, and academic exchange in management science and related fields.
The symposium will feature special academic sessions involving distinguished scholars, outstanding young researchers, and prominent entrepreneurs in logistics systems engineering and management systems engineering. A new Young Faculty Forum will be introduced this year to provide young faculty members with a dedicated platform to present their research, exchange innovative ideas, and explore research collaboration.
An Outstanding Academic Papers Forum will also be organized to solicit original and unpublished research from scholars nationwide in logistics systems engineering, management systems engineering, and related fields. High-quality submissions selected by the Organizing Committee may be recommended for fast-track review by leading journals in the field, including Journal of Systems & Management, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Journal of Systems Engineering, Frontiers of Engineering Management, International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics Technology. Researchers are warmly encouraged to submit their work.
The symposium aims to broaden the academic horizons of young faculty members and doctoral students in logistics systems engineering and management systems engineering, provide a high-level and multidisciplinary platform serving scholars at different stages of their academic careers, and promote the exchange and dissemination of high-quality research.
The Business School of Henan University warmly welcomes scholars, practitioners, and friends from across China who are interested in the development of logistics systems engineering and management systems engineering to participate in the symposium.
