1 Submission Agreement
1.1 Submissions must demonstrate innovation, academic rigor, logical coherence, and readability. Please submit via the website: http://xtglxb.sjtu.edu.cn. When submitting, complete all required information in the submission system (including all author details, funding information, etc.) and upload one identifiable Word manuscript and one anonymous PDF manuscript (see Section 2.1 for anonymization standards). Manuscripts that meet the initial review requirements will be received and enter the review process.
1.2 Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal. Once discovered, this journal will reject the submission and will not accept submissions from any of the authors involved for three years. Authors are particularly reminded that this journal does not cooperate with any intermediaries.
1.3 Authors are solely responsible for the content of their manuscripts. The editorial office reserves the right to make technical and textual revisions to the manuscripts.
1.4 In principle, after submission, the authorship and order of authors shall not be changed, including adding or deleting authors or affiliations, or altering the order of authors. If a legitimate reason for change exists, all authors must provide signed consent and submit a written explanation (including specific reasons for the change and details of the changes) to the editorial office. Only after approval by the editorial office may adjustments be made. After acceptance, no changes to authorship or order are permitted.
1.5 This journal currently adopts a tripartite publication model: print, CD-ROM, and online versions. All articles published will also be included in the China Academic Journal (CD-ROM).
2 Manuscript Requirements and Guidelines
2.1 Formatting Requirements: Manuscripts must have clear arguments, reliable data, strict logic, and concise language. For specific formatting, please refer to the template on the journal’s website (available in the "Download Center"). The identifiable manuscript must include: Chinese and English titles, all author names, affiliations, city, and postal code, abstract, keywords; Chinese Library Classification number, main text (recommended length of 10,000–15,000 words, excluding online appendices), and references. Funding information (including funding category and project number) and brief biographies of the first author and corresponding author should be placed at the bottom of the first page. The anonymous manuscript must remove all author names, affiliations, funding numbers, author biographies, and any other information that may reveal author identity.
2.2 Title Requirements: The title should concisely and accurately reflect the specific content of the article. Do not use uncommon abbreviations, initialisms, or codes. Subtitles, if any, should be preceded by a dash and placed below the main title. Avoid non-specific terms such as "a study on...". The Chinese title should generally not exceed 20 characters, and the English title should correspond in meaning to the Chinese title.
2.3 Abstract Requirements: The abstract should be informative and independent of the main text. Write in the third person, do not use "I," "we," or "the author(s)" as the subject. Do not divide into sections, do not cite references, and avoid complex formulas whenever possible. The Chinese abstract should be at least 250 characters. The English abstract should correspond to the Chinese abstract. The abstract should address the following four aspects:① Objective (directly state the research purpose);② Methods (detail the processes and methods used);③ Results and Conclusions (comprehensively present the results and conclusions);④ Innovations of the article.
2.4 Keyword Requirements: Keywords should be standardized, preferably selected from the Chinese Thesaurus and the title (three or more). Terms for new disciplines or technologies not covered by the thesaurus may be listed after the subject keywords. Chinese and English keywords should correspond one-to-one. Chinese keywords should not use abbreviations; write full Chinese names. For English abbreviated keywords, first write the full term, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses. Additionally, provide some discipline classification keywords (including broad and narrow categories) that readers are likely to use in fuzzy online searches to increase the likelihood of retrieval.
2.5 Units and Quantities Requirements: The use of quantities and units in the manuscript (including figures and tables) must strictly comply with GB 3100–3102-93 Quantities and Units. Non-standard names, symbols, or illegal units of measurement are not permitted. Variables in formulas and in the text (including figures and tables) should be italicized (vectors, matrices, and vectors in bold italic), and their meanings must be provided at first appearance. Within the same article, a single letter cannot represent two different physical quantities, nor can different letters represent the same physical quantity under different conditions; likewise, the same physical quantity should not be represented in multiple ways. Except for commonly used symbols, all symbols must have their meanings explained.
2.6 Figures and Tables Requirements: Figures and tables in the text should be self-explanatory and appear alongside the relevant text. Illustrations must comply with drawing standards. Text, symbols, axis labels, tick marks, and scale values in figures must be clearly legible. Axis labels should use legal units of measurement (generally not in Chinese). Tables in the text should use the "three-line table" format. The content of tables should not duplicate that of figures or text.
2.7 Reference Requirements: References should accurately reflect the actual state of relevant domestic and international research. Unpublished materials should not be cited (except for publicly accessible degree theses and preprint platform papers, such as those on arXiv, SSRN, etc.). At least half of the references should be in Chinese, and at least half should be from the last five years. For formatting requirements for various types of references, please refer to the journal’s website template.
2.8 Resubmission after Rejection Requirements: Articles rejected by this journal are generally not eligible for resubmission. If the author believes that substantial changes have been made in theory, methods, or data (e.g., core model reconstruction, major data updates, substantive changes in research conclusions), the manuscript may be resubmitted as a new submission, accompanied by an explanatory document detailing the major changes made compared to the original manuscript (citing the original manuscript number). The editorial office will treat it as a new submission and initiate the initial review process.
When submitting, please strictly adhere to the journal’s formatting and content requirements so that the editorial office can complete the review and editing work promptly and accurately.
